a) Are you on-track to achieving your Semester 2 goals in this subject? To be honest, not really. I have done little progress towards my goals during Semester Two.
b) What do you believe have been the three most important things you have learnt during Term 3?
c) Select a lesson during this term which you thought was the best and explain why you believe it was the best. The lesson where our class had played the trade game. We all had contributed, had fun and learn many new things.
d) Are you happy with the Homework habits you have developed and will they greatly assist you next year? Explain. No that really. I have been organised at the beginning, but when the year progressed, I became more and more lazier and I am not proud of my effort I had put into my homework recently.
e) In what ways do you always "do your best" in this subject?
f) Do you have "high expectations" in this subject? Explain or justify your answer
g) What extra help do you need from your teacher to help you learn and to improve your skills? To help make me understand what exactly needs to be handed in, and what the due date is.
h) Are you happy with your progress and achievement in this subject? In some parts, yes. In other parts, no.
i) How many times have you been recognised on the "Hall of Fame" wiki page and how do you feel about this? I have been recognized in the ‘Hall of Fame’ twice. Daily Life as a Prisoner on a Hulk and the Challenge No 2 – Regifting Robin. Firstly, I was shocked that I would be in the Hall of Fame, as I don’t really consider myself as the smart type.
j) My teacher always wants what is the best for us. He wants us to succeed and reach a lot of places. He can be funny at times but he cares about our learning.
During the past few weeks:
I have learned about the settlement of Australia. I most enjoyed the Humanities class on learning about why convicts where sent to Australia. My attitude towards homework has improved much better than the year before. My behavior in class is good and is on expected level. My interim report in the subject will indicate that I am currently up to date and behave well in class. The hardest task I have had to complete was the Essay on the ‘Great Southern Land.’ My workbook is tidy and up to date. My greatest strength is keeping all my work neat and tidy The two areas of my learning that I want to focus on improving are: 1. Making sure I hand all work on time 2. Checking my wiki regularly, to see if I have any homework. I am happy because I have handed in most of my work on time, put effort into all my work and had come to class organized. Hopefully, this would continue through the end of the year.
What is the most important thing that you have you learnt in Humanities in the past month? The most important and main thing I have learnt in Humanities is about Australian history and how the British claimed Australia. Also, I have learnt to come to class organized and prepared. Having books open to start the lesson and listening to the teacher. What did you do to help yourself learn? Paying attention to the teacher and completing class work. What did you do that made it difficult for you to learn well? Getting distracted easily and not participating in class discussions. Who did you work with? Were these effective (good) working relationships? The two people that I have worked with were Yoana and Aye. We stayed on task and worked effectively. How is your progress towards meeting your goals for the semester? So far, I am still working on completing my goals for this semester. If I continue, work extra hard and put % 100 efforts into my work, I know I will achieve them.
